Carson Janik is making a stop at Kingston Yard during his 2026 Canada-USA tour.

Hailing from the small town of Tecumseh, Ontario, Carson Janik is making big noise in the Canadian Country Music scene. Carson has had each of his first three singles added to over 100 radio stations nationwide including Sirius XM's Top of the Country Channel 171, topping at #1 on their chart.

Carson spent 2025 touring Canada on his headlining "Happy and Broke" tour, which saw him and his band perform in 6 provinces and 30 cities. Carson's new single "Choked Up", has been accredited by streaming platforms around the world, adding Carson to playlists such as "Today's Country" and "Canada's Country" on Apple Music, "North Country" on Spotify, and "Country Heat" and "Just North of Nashville" on Amazon Music, accumulating over 750,000 streams and counting.

Make Music Cedar Rapids is a new citywide celebration of live music held each year on June 21 as part of the global Make Music Day movement, which takes place in more than 1,000 cities worldwide. Musicians and non-musicians of all ages and experience levels are invited to perform in parks, on porches, inside local businesses, and throughout downtown and neighborhood districts.

All performances are free and open to the public. Coordinated by the City of Cedar Rapids in partnership with the City Music Task Force and local organizations, the event lowers barriers to participation, supports local musicians, and makes live music visible and accessible across the community.
